… you know, the one where I said I was going to shoot everyday? Yeah. That didn’t happen. But somehow 5 days seemed to have flown by. So I picked up my camera and decided to capture whatever was happening in front of me; with a messy house and all.

We are experiencing a horrific heat wave right now. Triple digits all week, so we’ve been holed up in the house, and everyone is getting a little restless. It’s hard to come up with options of outdoor activities because the heat is just so dang hot!

So we get a lot of rough housing, bickering, and a large dollop of whining.

but at the end of the day, these three really do like each other. Its actually hard to believe that Callahan has only been home for a year now, because it seems like he’s always been a part of this family. Sure, the kid is totally high maintenance at times (as he still kind of thinks the world revolves around only him) but I guess we all can be that way every now and then, right?

Oh, and in other completely random and boring news, I’m having Claire potty train the boys. She loves telling them what to do, and they will do whatever she says. So when it’s time for them to go potty, they run to the bathroom so she can help them. Somehow she managed to get them to use the big toilet without a potty seat. Not only that, she’s gotten Callahan to poop in the potty twice – something I couldn’t even get CLOSE to accomplishing.  Whatever magic that girl possesses in the Potty department – more power to her. She’s making life for all of us a little less stressful.

Tomorrow, in order to beat the heat, we’re headed to our Gym that has an incredible kiddie pool and Sprinkler Splash Pad thingy. So I’m telling myself to bring my camera. It should be a fun time, and I could use the practice shooting in direct, harsh sunlight.
